Build Your First AP3K Zap

Start with a working Instagram flow, then send one test contact to Zapier through an explicit webhook step.

Before you begin

  • Connect Instagram and have a second account available for a real test.
  • Create a flow with a trigger and a step that collects an email address.
  • Prepare the destination app and a Zapier account with access to Webhooks by Zapier.

Wire up the webhook

  1. Create a Catch Hook trigger in Webhooks by Zapier and copy its HTTPS webhook URL. Availability depends on your Zapier plan.
  2. Open your AP3K flow and add External request / Zapier after the step that collects or sets the data.
  3. Paste the URL into Webhook URL. Enter a JSON object in JSON body, with contact fields inside string values.
  4. Connect the node into the flow, save, and review the preview. Preview does not send the external request.
  5. Publish when ready and trigger the flow with a real test interaction. Check the sample received by Zapier, map the fields to the destination action, and test that action before enabling the Zap.

Example payload

{"email":"{{email}}","phone":"{{phone}}","source":"instagram"}

Verify the whole journey

  1. Trigger the automation from the second Instagram account.
  2. Answer the email collection question.
  3. Confirm the email belongs to that contact in AP3K Contacts.
  4. Confirm Zapier received the matching email and completed the intended destination action.

If nothing arrives

Check that the real flow reached the webhook node. Preview never sends requests, and a node that is not connected into the path will not run. Check the HTTPS URL, valid JSON, and the receiver’s test or live status.
