Check both the uploaded file and the automation’s delivery status when an attachment fails. Saving the automation and delivering a message are separate steps.
1. Check format and size
| Type | Formats | Maximum upload size |
|---|---|---|
| Image | PNG, JPG, GIF | 8 MB |
| Video | MP4, MOV | 25 MB |
| Audio | AAC, M4A, WAV | 25 MB |
| Document | 25 MB |
Audio recorded in the browser uses the recorder’s supported format. Use the upload and recording controls in AP3K rather than renaming a file extension.
2. Finish the upload
Wait for the attachment to finish uploading. For a recording, stop, review it, and choose Upload. A local recording preview alone is not a saved attachment.
3. Save and reopen
Save the automation and reopen it to confirm the attachment is retained. If saving fails, keep the error text and contact support; do not assume a preview means the file was saved.
4. Test from another account
Publish a reviewed automation and trigger it from a second Instagram account. Check the actual attachment and any delivery error. For cards, confirm required images, titles, and buttons are complete.
5. Use a smaller valid file
Compress a large video or image and upload it again. If only media messages fail, share the file type, size, automation name, and failure time with support.
