A previous Instagram automation tool can retain access through a Facebook or Meta business connection. Review those permissions if your old setup used them.
Before you begin
- Confirm you can administer the relevant business portfolio and Page.
- Keep a record of the campaigns and contacts you need.
- Coordinate with other users before removing a shared business integration.
Review Business integrations
In Facebook settings, find Business integrations and inspect the previous tool’s active access. Remove the ManyChat integration if you are retiring it. Read the confirmation so you understand the affected accounts.
Review Connected apps
In Meta Business Suite settings or your Page’s messaging settings, check Connected apps for the old tool. Review any permission allowing it to take control of conversations. Remove or disable the obsolete connection according to the controls Meta presents.
Review Instagram conversation routing
If your setup exposes a default routing app, confirm it does not still direct Instagram conversations to the old tool. Menu names and routing controls vary by setup. Change only the accounts and permissions involved in your migration.
Direct Instagram Login needs no new Page
These steps clean up an existing connection. You do not need to create a Facebook Page for AP3K’s current direct Instagram Login flow, and AP3K does not automate Facebook Messenger.
Verify the switch
Verify the previous connection is removed, then trigger a published AP3K automation from another Instagram account.
