A slow DM may be waiting on an automation step, a scheduled delay, a recipient action, or Instagram delivery access. Check the specific automation before assuming a sending queue is the cause.
1. Check the automation path
- An enabled delay intentionally waits before the next step.
- An opener can wait for the person to tap its button.
- Collect info can wait for the person’s answer.
- Follow-ups can wait for the configured time and conditions.
2. Check Message requests
Ask the test recipient to check Instagram Message requests as well as the main inbox. The message may have arrived before it was noticed.
3. Review activity and connection status
Open the automation’s activity and Instagram connection details. Record any delivery error. A lost token, missing message access, or another app controlling the conversation needs a connection fix, not a shorter delay.
4. Check delivery scheduling
AP3K schedules eligible delayed and follow-up steps. If a step remains overdue, contact support with the automation and trigger time so its delivery status can be checked. Use the automation activity and connection status to investigate the affected delivery.
5. Respect eligibility and limits
Instagram can restrict or rate-limit delivery, and later messages must remain within the applicable messaging eligibility window. A paid AP3K plan does not override Instagram restrictions. Check your Instagram permissions.
