Chat Automation Templates

The Basic template gallery includes three inbox-focused starting points: answer a message, collect details, or offer a choice of products and services. Open New automation → Browse templates and select Basic or search for “DM”.

Respond to all your DMs

One trigger, one welcome message. This is the simplest starting point for the quick Chat editor.

What it arrives with: a greeting keyword such as Hello and a saved welcome response.

What to change: replace the keyword with the one in your bio or caption. If you really want to answer all incoming messages, choose Any incoming DM. Rewrite the message with a useful next action or a button link.

Capture leads from DMs

This paid template uses a flow to collect an email, phone number and name before a confirmation. The starting keyword is connect.

What to change: remove any question you do not need, explain what the person gets and review the connections between steps. Email and phone values are saved to the sender’s contact; the name step captures a free-text answer.

Three questions in a row can feel like a form. If you only need an email for the requested guide, keep the conversation focused on that.

Sell products or services from DMs

This paid flow template starts with Hello, asks how it can help and offers Get expert tips or Discover products.

What to change: rename the choices to your actual categories, write each branch and replace every placeholder URL. Test every branch; the first message is only the beginning of the conversation.

Make a template yours

  1. Give it a clear campaign name.
  2. Set the keyword or incoming-message rule.
  3. Replace placeholder copy and links.
  4. Review any paid features and the next-step connections.
  5. Publish, then test from a second account.

You can also build a Chat automation from scratch, or learn more about choices and collecting replies.
