Confirm the previous tool has released Instagram messaging access before relying on the rebuilt AP3K automations.
1. Review the old tool
Confirm its Instagram connection and relevant automations are disabled or removed. Preserve any records you still need before deleting anything.
2. Check Instagram Apps and websites
In Instagram settings, open Apps and websites and review active connections. Remove the previous automation tool if you are migrating away from it. Keep the AP3K connection you just authorized.
3. Check any Meta business connection
If the old tool also connected through Facebook or a Meta business portfolio, review its Business integrations and Connected apps permissions. Remove the old tool’s access where present; direct Instagram Login does not require you to create a new Page.
4. Check message access
In Instagram’s messaging settings, make sure connected tools are allowed to access messages. Fix disabled DM access.
5. Test a new interaction
Confirm AP3K shows the intended @username. Trigger a published automation from a second account and check the public reply, DM, and activity. A successful connection alone does not prove the full automation ran.
