When an incoming message does not receive the expected reply, check the trigger, publication status, and Instagram messaging access.
1. Check keyword matching
Open the chat automation and compare the received message with its configured keyword rules. Test the exact keyword first, then a sentence containing it. Exact and contains matching can produce different results; confirm the mode available in your editor.
2. Confirm it is published
Saved changes and an enabled published automation are different states. Confirm the automation is active and belongs to the selected Instagram account. Check other enabled rules if the wrong automation answers.
3. Check message access
Enable access to messages in Instagram and check AP3K’s DM readiness.
4. Check conversation ownership
Another messaging tool can retain control of a thread. Review competing app connections.
5. Use a new test message
Send the trigger from a second Instagram account. Follow-up responses depend on an eligible messaging window and any configured delay or condition. An old conversation is not a reliable substitute for a new trigger.
Still no reply?
Check your Instagram permissions. Include the exact message and timestamp when contacting support, without sharing private credentials.
