AP3K has three quick automation types, distinguished by where the person is when they trigger one:
| Automation | Fires when someone… |
|---|---|
| Post automation | Comments on the selected post or reel. |
| Story automation | Performs the selected story interaction. |
| Chat automation | Sends a matching message to your inbox. |
A Chat automation has no post or story attached. It watches incoming DMs and responds when its keyword rule matches.
What a Chat automation contains
- Trigger: specific keywords or Any incoming DM.
- Message: plain text, text with button, attachment, or a paid AP3K AI reply.
- Optional paid steps: Collect info, Ask to follow and Follow up message for saved-message automations.
The editor uses cards and a phone preview. For a branching conversation with choices, custom fields and multiple messages, use Flow builder or a lead-capture template.
When to use one
Chat automation answers a call to action such as “DM me BOOK”. It works for bio instructions, a welcome response, resource delivery or common questions. Choose a Post automation when the trigger is a public comment.
Keep a quick Chat automation for a focused response. Reach for the Flow builder when the next message depends on which choice a person taps, a stored answer, a tag or a condition.
What is different from Post automation
- No public comment reply: there is no comment to answer.
- No post picker: the incoming message is the event.
- No separate opener: the person has already messaged you.
