Instagram may temporarily restrict public commenting even when DMs still work. Review the error and reduce automated public replies while the restriction is present.
What to check
- A large burst of replies on one post.
- Repeated identical text or links under many comments.
- Other tools or manual activity using the same account.
- Instagram account status and any restriction notice.
Pause public replies
Turn off the public reply section or pause the automation while you investigate. If DM access remains healthy, a DM-only automation may still be eligible. Follow Instagram’s displayed guidance; AP3K cannot promise when a restriction will be removed.
Control future reply volume
Set a per-post Reply limit in the editor. Write useful manual variations or use AI public replies on a paid plan, then review the output. Variation does not guarantee exemption from Instagram limits.
Keep resource links in the DM
Use a short relevant comment reply and put the resource in the DM with a clear CTA button. Avoid repeating the same promotional link under every comment.
Different from delayed DMs
Comment restrictions and DM delivery are separate. Investigate slow DM delivery if the private response is also affected.
