AP3K responds to new eligible interactions received after an automation is activated. It does not currently backtrack through older Instagram comments.
What this means for an existing post
You can select an existing post for a new automation, but comments that arrived before activation are not replayed. Publishing does not send DMs to everyone who already commented.
Handle earlier conversations
- Reply manually to older comments where appropriate.
- Activate and test the automation before promoting the post again.
- Ask an interested person to send a new DM or leave a new matching comment, without promising delivery to users whose Instagram settings prevent it.
Prepare the next campaign
Create an Instagram comment-to-DM automation. Choose the post, set the keyword or Any Comment trigger, publish, and test from another account before sharing the call to action.
