Define What Your Instagram Autoresponder Should Not Answer
An autoresponder is useful only when its scope is clear. A message system that answers every question with confidence can create promises the business cannot fulfill. Define its boundaries before adding more knowledge or adjusting tone.

The decision to make
Separate stable product facts from account-specific decisions. Basic setup information may be suitable for automation; refunds, disputed orders and exceptional arrangements often need a person. A boundary is useful only when the fallback tells the customer what to do next.
A practical workflow
- 1Step 1List common questions and classify their risk.
- 2Step 2Write approved facts for routine answers.
- 3Step 3Route exceptions to a maintained support path.
Worked example
An automation can explain where a pricing page is. It should not invent a custom discount because someone says a competitor is cheaper.
What to avoid
Do not assume a longer knowledge document removes the need for human review. Conflicting or outdated facts can make generated answers less reliable.
Where AP3K fits
AP3K combines configured response workflows with optional AI features. Use saved copy when an exact answer is required, and maintain approved knowledge when using AI. An automated answer should remain within the product facts and business commitments you can verify. Account access, supported triggers and platform messaging restrictions still apply. Test both a normal request and a question the responder should not answer before expanding its scope.
How to judge the result
Review unsupported claims and escalations. Expand coverage only when the team can supply clear, current information for the new topic.
- Approved knowledge has no conflicting or obsolete facts.
- Unsupported questions have a useful, truthful fallback.
- A human reviewer checks accuracy separately from tone and delivery.
