A Weekly Maintenance Checklist for Instagram Comment Automations
An automation can keep running while its offer becomes outdated. A short weekly review should inspect the promise, configuration, and destination together. Focus on changes and exceptions rather than reading every successful action individually.

Check account readiness and active scope
Confirm the intended Instagram accounts remain connected and inspect any visible readiness or access warnings. Review the list of live automations for unexpected changes in status. Do not remove an account as a routine refresh operation.
Look for new Any post rules, reused keywords, and duplicated campaigns. Compare them with recent promotional content. A new post can make an old broad rule inappropriate even when nobody edited that rule during the week.
Open the destinations people are receiving
Prioritize campaigns with changing stock, event dates, prices, or availability. Open the actual saved URL on a phone and check redirects, access permissions, forms, and the first visible instruction. A successful HTTP response alone does not prove the promised resource is usable.
Record who owns each destination. If a product is discontinued or a webinar has ended, coordinate the caption, DM, and page update. Do not fix only the button label while leaving the rest of the journey misleading.
Review exceptions and customer questions
Inspect available failed or skipped activity and look for repeated questions in Inbox. Group the issues by stage: request clarity, trigger, message sequence, destination, or human follow-up. That makes it easier to choose a concrete correction.
Review usage against the current plan using the actual billing screen. Do not estimate remaining capacity solely from comment totals, because a campaign can send more than one action per qualifying interaction. Keep commercial changes outside a routine UI check unless they are deliberately authorized.
- Connection warnings reviewed.
- Overlapping rules checked.
- Time-sensitive offers updated.
- Important destination links opened on mobile.
- Repeated customer questions assigned to an owner.
Keep a small change log and a next review date
Record what changed, why, who changed it, and whether the relevant test passed. For a message-only correction, inspect the final wording. For scope, connection, or sequence changes, run a fresh end-to-end test with an account you control.
Finish by identifying the next most important issue, not by adding more features automatically. The maintenance goal is a reliable fulfilled request. A stable campaign with a current resource and clear human ownership is often better than a more elaborate flow nobody checks.
