Comment-to-DM Automation on Instagram Collaboration Posts
A collaboration post appearing on your profile does not, by itself, prove that an automation tool can treat it like media published by your connected account. Verify the specific post and account combination before advertising an automatic reply.

Identify the account that owns the setup
Write down which Instagram account is connected to AP3K and which participant originally published the collaboration. Confirm who is authorized to manage the resource and respond to requests. Shared public visibility can hide very different account permissions behind the scenes.
Open the media selector for the connected account and look for the actual post. If it is absent, do not substitute a visually similar item and assume the collaboration will be covered. Refresh the list and inspect connection readiness before changing the campaign scope.
Treat support as something to verify
Media eligibility and API behavior can differ by post type and account relationship. This checklist is not a promise that every collaboration post is supported. The decisive evidence is a successful test against the exact published media and connected account you plan to use.
Do not ask a collaborator to share an Instagram password to get around ownership uncertainty. Use the normal authorized connection flow for an account you have permission to manage, and keep each participant's responsibilities explicit.
Agree on the public promise before publishing
Both collaborators should know the keyword, resource, delivery account, and fallback if the test fails. If one person promotes GUIDE while the other promises a discount, a shared comment stream can create incompatible expectations even when delivery works technically.
- Which account will send the response?
- What exactly does the keyword request?
- Is the resource available to both audiences?
- Who handles questions or failed requests?
- What wording will change if automated delivery cannot be verified?
Use a narrow fallback when needed
If the collaboration cannot be validated, publish a dedicated post from the connected account and point people to that clearly explained request path. Alternatively, provide a visible resource link through an appropriate existing channel. Do not continue claiming that comments will receive automatic DMs when your test shows otherwise.
Keep the test record with the post URL and date. Recheck the setup for a new collaboration instead of assuming that success with one partner proves identical behavior for every future post.
