Send a PDF Guide After an Instagram Comment
To deliver a PDF after a comment, prepare an accessible hosted resource and send its link through the configured DM. AP3K delivers the message and button; your website or file host is responsible for serving the document.

Choose a stable access page or direct file
A direct PDF link is simple when the document opens reliably on mobile. A resource page can be better when you need to explain the download, provide an HTML alternative, or offer a fallback if an embedded viewer fails. Choose the path based on actual reading behavior.
Check access permissions while signed out of the file host. A link that opens for you may ask everyone else to request access. Do not use a private workspace link as the public download destination unless you intentionally want that extra approval step.
Make the request and delivery specific
A useful caption is: Comment LIGHTING and I will DM the portrait-lighting PDF. Configure that keyword on the intended post. The final message can say: Here is the portrait-lighting guide. Open the page below to view or download the PDF.
Use Open lighting guide as the button label. If the destination contains an email form before download, explain that in the caption and DM. Commenting on Instagram should not silently become an unrelated email subscription.
Test the document as a reader
Open the button inside Instagram's browser on a phone. Check download behavior, text size, links inside the PDF, and whether the file requires another application. Large, image-heavy documents can make a fast DM feel slow at the destination.
- The resource opens without your owner login.
- The file name and first page match the promised guide.
- Text remains readable when enlarged.
- A download option or fallback is easy to find.
- The document contains no private draft notes or customer information.
Maintain the link when the guide changes
Prefer a stable resource URL when updates are expected. If you replace the file, verify that old campaigns still reach the current version and that the content remains consistent with their captions. Do not change a free guide into an unexpected checkout behind the same promise.
Measure resource-page visits and downloads separately when your hosting and analytics make that possible. A DM sent count alone does not establish that the PDF was opened or read.
