Create an Instagram Comment-to-DM Event Registration Journey

Event information becomes outdated quickly. A useful automated DM directs people to the current registration page and explains what still needs to happen before attendance is confirmed. The comment itself should never be presented as a ticket.

The comment starts the request; your trigger and actions determine which response AP3K sends.

Centralize the event's changing details

Use a maintained destination for the date, time zone, venue, ticket availability, and entry conditions. Include a way to ask about accessibility or other practical requirements. A promotional image alone is not enough when plans change.

If different sessions or cities have separate registration pages, make the post scope and keyword correspond to the intended event. Do not send everyone requesting TICKETS to the most recently promoted city by default.

Describe the next action accurately

For example: Comment EVENT for the program and registration page for the Saturday workshop. In the DM, explain that registration is completed through the linked event platform. Use View event registration as the button label.

Do not promise a confirmed place, reserved price, or guaranteed availability unless the actual ticketing process provides it. If the event is paid, make that context clear before people enter a form expecting free admission.

Test the external registration system

Open the destination inside Instagram's browser. Check session selection, date display, ticket types, and the confirmation path. If a safe sandbox is available, use it for payment testing. Otherwise document where the test stops before a real charge.

The event platform owns ticket issuance, cancellations, reminders, and capacity. AP3K delivers the requested link; it does not gain those functions merely because the button points to a registration site.

  • Correct event and date.
  • Mobile registration controls work.
  • Ticket conditions are visible before purchase.
  • Confirmation clearly distinguishes a ticket from an enquiry.

Prepare for sold-out and finished events

A sold-out page can offer a genuine waiting list if one exists, but it should not imply that joining guarantees admission. After the event, change the active promise to a replay or future-event list only when that is what you can actually provide.

Use completed registrations and attendance records to evaluate the campaign's final outcome. Sent DMs and link visits help explain the earlier stages but do not establish who attended.
